Mike Zhang, a Bronx High School of Science senior, who worked in the laboratory of Dr. Olaf S. Andersen during the summers of 2009 and 2010 under the tutelage of Dr. Helgi I. Ingolfsson, was named an Intel Science Talent Search 2011 Semifinalist for his work on the effects of fluorinated alcohols on lipid bilayer properties. Mr. Zhang is presenting his work at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2011, a program of Society for Science & the Public which will be held in Los Angeles May 9 through May 13, 2011.
